Things to do In Pittsburgh – Memorial Day 2021

Memorial Day weekend is the official kick off to summer! With many restaurants and venues re-opening, Memorial Day weekend is a great reason to get out and celebrate. Memorial Day 2021 is May 28 – May 31, so if you do not have plans already, keep reading to discover a few ways you can celebrate Memorial Day in Pittsburgh.


1. Pirates Baseball

Baseball is America’s pasttime, so what better way to spend Memorial Day weekend than at the ballpark? The Pittsburgh Pirates are hosting the Colorado Rockies Friday 5/28 – Sunday 5/30. 2. Visit a Memorial

Some examples that you can visit are the Korean War Memorial, the Law Enforcement Officer’s Memorial, the World War II Memorial, the Tribute to Children Memorial, the Vietnam Veteran’s Monument, and the Flight 93 National Memorial.


3. Get Outside

Memorial Day weekend is the kick off of summer, so you must take it in and get outside! (Pending the weather of course!) Explore Downtown Pittsburgh by renting bikes or kayaks and take in all of the sights. If it’s hot outside, many community pools open Memorial Day weekend so you can take a swim!
