As residents and business owners in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, we love to be up to date with the seasonal events going on. This time of year is one of our favorites – fall! We love spending time as a family going to the pumpkin patch, riding hayrides, drinking hot cider, and making memories! Today, we want to share with you some of our favorite spots that you can do this all at in the South Hills of Pittsburgh! Happy Fall!
1. Simmons Farm
Simmons Farm is one of Henry’s favorite farms for seasonal activities! Simmons Farm is in Peters Twp and has numerous activities for families each fall. Starting September 18th, Simmons Farm’s fall festivities begin daily through November. Available events include hayrides, pumpkin picking, corn mazes, apple picking, and fun lawn games! You can also shop in the market for fresh fruits, veggies, flowers, and treats! Check out their website for all of the offerings, including private night hayrides for groups!
2. Trax Farms
Trax Farms is located in Finelyville, PA and is a beautiful farm! The fall fest is a Trax Farms tradition and begins on September 25th on Saturdays and Sundays through October 24th. Their fall fest has so many fun activities such as hayrides, pumpkin patches, and a 3-acre corn maze! 3. Harvest Valley Farms
Harvest Valley Farms is located in Valencia, PA that is filled with fall fun every weekend in October! Come on by to pick your own pumpkin, see farm animals, enjoy face painting and live music! There are even corn and hay mazes. Bring home yummy fall treats, fruits and veggies from the market, too!
