1.      Why choose Cork Valley Properties?

We are a small, family owned, local business (just my wife and I), which means we are quicker and easier to work with than some bigger companies.  We also keep all houses we buy for rental properties instead of reselling them to other investors or flipping them for a profit, which allows us to offer you the highest possible price.

2.      Where do we buy properties?

We buy houses all across Pittsburgh and the surrounding areas, although our favorite places to buy are the Brentwood and Canonsburg areas, including Strabane and Houston.

3Are there any fees?

No, there are no fees at all.  In addition to no fees, we will pay all your closing costs too.

4.  What if I have a tenant living in the house?

We are able to buy your house if you still have a tenant living there.  Even if the tenant is a problem tenant or isn’t paying rent!

5.  What if my house needs a lot of repairs or is outdated?  

We love buying houses that need repairs or are outdated.  Part of our passion at Cork Valley Properties is the renovation process and everything that goes along with it.  However, if your house is in good condition, we will still buy your house too!

6.  If I receive an offer from Cork Valley Properties am I obligated to sell my house?

Our offers are no obligation and are free of cost.  You are free to deny our offer.

7.      How do you decide on the offer price?

We calculate the value of your house by comparing your house to similar houses in your neighborhood that have sold recently.  We then subtract the cost of any necessary repairs, which leaves us with your offer price.  We would love to walk you through these numbers with complete transparency.

8.  I want to still sell my home, but I want to sell it for more and work with you.  What are my options?

We are full service at Cork Valley Properties.  My wife, Kaity, is a licensed Real Estate Agent with Deacon Hoover Real Estate Advisors.  She can help with any traditional real estate needs you may require.  We can even help you find your next home!

9.      How does the process work?

It’s simple! You can either call 412-206-1450, or fill out the contact form below. From there we will set up a phone call to discuss your house and we can give you a range of what our offer price will be.  We can then schedule a time to meet you at your house and will be able to give you a fair offer on the spot, with no obligations that you are free to refuse (there is no cost for any of this).  If we agree on the price, we can sign a contract and Cork Valley Properties will handle the closing coordination, including paying all of the closing costs. Then we schedule a closing date with the title company and you get your check!

10.      How long does it take to get an offer?

We can almost always make you an offer on the spot after we see your house, and we are typically available to see your house within 24 hours

11.  How long does it take for the sale to be official and receive my money?

Once we have a signed contract at an agreed purchase price, the title company usually takes about 3 weeks to finalize everything before the sale can be official and you have your money in hand!
